TIPS USB plugs come in all shapes and sizes. Time for an overview. Thanks to USB we easily connect various devices to the computer or laptop. Think of the mouse and keyboard, but also the USB stick or external hard drive. And almost all tablets and smartphones use a USB cable and charging capability.
1 Universal Serial Bus Full power is USB for ‘Universal Serial Bus’. The name includes the ports, connections, and cables that allow the passage of data. It was designed in 1996. We now arrive at version 3.

2 Hot Swap Devices can be connected via USB to the PC without requiring a reboot. This is called hot swapping.

USB A This connector is to be connected to the PC or the charging adapter. He has exactly the same appearance as plugging a USB stick. USB 2.0 has a white interior, USB 3.0 / 3.1 a blue interior. Micro-USB The smallest and flattest plug. For most people recognize as the charging plug that goes into an Android phone. The connectors for USB 3.0 type B and micro look somewhat different.

Apple USB The smallest and flattest plug. For most people recognize as the charging plug that goes into an Android phone.

USB-C The latest USB type is the USB-C. The plug is designed to fit always. So studying it no longer needed a magnifying glass the plug to be connected. Furthermore, USB-C would get a standard connector type. That’s not true at all. There are cables having a USB and a USB-A-C-plug. The Android OnePlus phone 2, for example, using such a plug. Eventually, all type cables USB-C, but before that, we are years later.
