Development Associate and Data Specialist Geffen Playhouse is seeking a Development Associate and Data Specialist to join its Development Department. This position has significant responsibilities in the areas of: data entry, donation processing, analysis, research, reporting, accounting reconciliation and event coordination. The ideal candidate will be a fast learner who is goal and detailoriented and who is excited to join a vibrant, high-energy, collaborative team which is truly inspired to make a difference in non-profit theater arts by raising funds which support both the art on stage, as well as Geffen Playhouse education and community engagement programs. The Development Associate will report to the Senior Vice President of Development. Responsibilities include:

Process and acknowledge all gifts/donations, pledges, pledge payments, stock gifts, matching gifts, and other contributions. Maintain and update donor information in our CMS (Audience View), including but not limited to: new donor records, name and contact information changes, and accounting coding. Utilize databases to create reports detailing wealth, philanthropy, donation history and ticketing history of Geffen Playhouse patrons. Attend and support event attendance, registration and coordination. Build relationships with Geffen Playhouse donors. Other responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree, and at least two years of experience in nonprofit development and database management. Attentiveness to detail. Well-developed computer skills, including experience with Word and Excel as well as donor relations software such as Audience View. Must be able to work and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with a broad range of internal and external constituents. Should be able to work independently, solve problems, handle confidential information, and navigate sensitive situations.
