PO-1582-SES-010-044 PO-1582-SES-014-002 SUB-BUOY-SMB™ Subsurface Mooring Buoys are utilised to anchor Wave Energy Converter (WEC) into a desired offshore location.
From the WEC floating on the surface, the upper catenary chain then connects to the SUB-BUOY-SMB™ Subsurface Mooring Buoys. From the SUB-BUOY-SMB™ Subsurface Mooring Buoys the lower catenary chain then connects to the ground chain and subsea anchor, hence providing location stability and control.
SUB-BUOY-SMB™ Subsurface Mooring Buoys when loaded with catenary chains are engineered to float out below the Waterline and out of sight.
