Editor’s Comment Welcome to Exertis Gem’s very last issue of 2013, and what a year it’s been! The last 12 months have been a positively eventful year here at Exertis Gem. The launch of a brand new generation of gaming consoles has been at the forefront of our minds with the Xbox One console itself and the abundance of supporting accessories and games to go with it. All of the teams within our business, from sales and marketing to the wonderful warehouse, have pulled together to ship over 184,000 Xbox One consoles and deﬁne the true meaning of the word ‘partnership’. We’ve been at forefront of music and audio technology for more than three decades now and are probably most renowned for our gaming headsets which we produce for all major formats including next-gen consoles. We actually manufacture the top ﬁve best-selling third-party headsets of all time and have strong partnerships with the likes of Major League Gaming (the world’s largest eSports league), Activision and Marvel. Peak is upon us now, which of your products excite you the most? Turtle Beach always has something ground breaking to launch every year and this year is no exception. From bringing our new range of PC products with all new features never experienced before to the PC market, or the integration of mobile compatibility across all of our new products, this allows customers to use their Turtle Beach headset for more than just gaming which opens up the opportunity for use on mobile devices. But I think the headset that I'm most excited about is the i30 Apple Media Headset, as it’s something very different from anything we’ve released before.

Turtle Beach and Microsoft recently announced an extended partnership on Xbox One products through 2015. What can we expect from this partnership going forward? Microsoft approached Turtle Beach in order to deliver the best audio possible for the Xbox One, this is reflected in the amazing XO Four and Seven Headsets, which we are immensely proud of. We would expect to deliver more ground breaking technology to enhance the experience on Xbox One in 2014. What’s the best thing about your job? I’d have to say the variety. We’re constantly bringing new and exciting products to market so it keeps my job very interesting. Whether it’s breaking into new sectors with the iSeries, working with partners such as Activision on Call Of Duty or being first with fully compatible headsets for next-gen consoles there are’t too many quiet days in the office.
