2020 has been a year, hasn’t it? Maybe not one many of us want to remember, but it sure has shown how production Agriculture can persevere through hard times. After all this year has had to offer, we are honored that you have taken the time to go through our offering this year. I don’t know about you, but the many jobs on the farm have kept us sane the last few months. Recent events have given us much more time to analyze our operation and what we wanted to offer to our customers this year. While being able to sell impressive donors is nice, it is the consistent, strong foundational cow herd that has built our program. So this year we decided to dig deep into our cow herd and offer to you some of our best young cows in the ClearWater operation. This is a group of females led off by the diversity of the great Serena family. It is exciting to be able to offer you Serena daughters by multiple sires right in the prime of their lives; that is what great donor cows are suppose to produce for the future. Of course, we think there are some exciting younger females in the sale too. To be quite honest, it might be hard for us to tell you our “pick” or our “favorite” this year because there are so many. We hope that you find that difficult as well as you flip through the pages. Like always, if we can be of any assistance please feel free to contact us. It has been an interesting, ever changing year here in Milan. Jeff and Leah have persevered through a bull sale with no one in the seats, and a customer sale during a pandemic. But here we are no worse for the wear gearing up for what we hope will be a relatively normal female sale. We hope that you will join us online or in the seat to enjoy an excellent set of Simmental genetics. Over the years, the ClearWater program has been done for their exceptional offering of bred females. No matter where Jeff and Leah were selling cattle, customers always knew to look for the bred females with the CLRWTR prefix. Working our way back to those roots now, this year’s offering features a set of bred females and cows that are the heart of the program. Whether you are looking to add a proven cow backed with pedigree or a donor cow in the making; those can be found in Milan on October 24. Jon and Bobby are great friends, customers, and consignors who have a great relationship with Jeff and Leah, and their genetics compliment the CLRWTR program well. They, too, have went deep into their respective herds to bring females that are foundation builders backed with top pedigrees. We along with Jeff, Leah, Jon, and Bobby welcome you to Milan, but understand the difficulties and uncertainties this virus has placed on our lives. H004 stems from two of my favorite Simmental animals, Relentless and our 5105 donor. 5105 is a full sister to Leah’s “Lucky” donor that has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars for Clearwater. 5105 has been just s consistent a producer for us. Two years ago we sold a $10,000 Pays to Believe daughter to Donald Jackson, he loves her! I periodically get random pictures of her or her offspring, showing he excitement for her impact on his program. The Relentless mating was no mistake. H004 is as sleek necked and attractive as you will find, she is good at the ground and has “show heifer” written all over her. In my opinion there is nothing more valuable than the 3/4 blood females that can take your PB program to the next level and I believe H004 will do just that. I believe it so much that we are retaining a full sister to replace the 5105 cow some day.

With the right amount of patience, we were able to add one of the last daughters sold by Sloup Simmentals. SS Emberly was a crowd favorite at many of the shows she attended, and even captured a few banners along the way. We have been extremely satisfied with her since she has entered production. Although there is some distance between birthdays anyone can appreciate the structure in both these females.
