BRIEF IDEA: Brand a teaching space using graphic design, photography, sculpture; that is geared towards the youth. While keeping the Google branding, adding a Detroit flare, and a community feeling. CONCEPT DUE: 07/21/19
Current Branding GOOGLE OFFICE DETROIT: For professionals, classic Google primary colors, but muted. Detroit iconography such as belle isle post cards, display of known buildings, nods to the auto industry, artwork of musicians, interesting ceiling artwork, informational stands of directional signs, signs that hang from the ceiling.

Space to be Designed INDIVIDUAL SPACES: Main room. Soundbooth. Lobby.
Opportunities DESIGN OPPORTUNITIES: Windows, Stand alone signage, flags off the side of the building, walls, floors, hanging designs
Style Board
MAIN ROOM: Keep the Google branding with white and primary colors. The walls will
be white for a clean and bright space. Since this is a space for younger people, primary colors for accents would keep a positive, playful, and fresh vibe while they learn. Directional lines or designs will be clean, crisp, and geometric as Google branding shows. Adding in accents of the neighborhood like nearby street signs to represent pride in their neighborhood and the goodness that is happening in the space they are in. Any poles or plaques in the room would be primary colors and definitely act as spaces for sticking post it notes of ideas. Other plaques would be for art like other accents of Detroit, per say, famous figures of their generations culture from Detroit to keep them inspired. Somewhere a Google colored skyline of Detroit should be shown.

Metal work would go above the office. It could be inspirational quotes or references to the neighborhood or program. The street signs could also be made of this metal artwork.
Mock Ups This is the example of the concept. To add even more visual interest, there could be something to hang from the ceiling in the main room.
Moving Forward MORE OPPORTUNITIES: Writing on the walls. Directional stand alone signage. Outdoor signage. NEEDED: Things that are around the area that the youth recognize as inspiring or uniquely theirs that could influence the art that goes on the walls. The name of the program.
