How to motivate yourself to learn Spoken English
There are so many things that we want to learn and our excitement is always at its peak in the first stage. The thought of positive outcomes it will have motivates us and we swear to
work hard. Once the process starts in full swing, we come face to face with reality. We get a picture of what it really is and how much effort we have to put in. This is where we start getting second thoughts.
Same thing happens when you begin learning English. This is when you need to remind yourself that you can do it. English is not that difficult after all, the alphabets are written exactly how they sound (exceptions can always be there!) And so many people speak English these days, that practicing it is very easy!
There are a few more tips that can help you:
Think of scenarios in the future. In the future, you will be able to speak English. You can talk to people confidently, perform better at job interviews, and impress your friends and relatives with your good communication skills and so on. This will give you the much needed push.
Make a list of all the things you can do once you’ve learnt English which you are unable to do now. When you evaluate the
facts on paper, the importance of your task is highlighted and reinforced. As a result, you realize how badly you need to do it.
Make friends with other people who are learning English. This way, you will have someone to enjoy the learning process with. Converse in English, challenge each other to word games and puzzles and solve your problems together.
Set a goal. This way your main focus remains on learning English and you can plan other things accordingly. Reward yourself once you achieve your target.
Starting to learn a new language can be a little tough. But as you progress you start enjoying it. And for those dull moments that will come your way, keep these tips in mind!
