Q: You’re wearing?

A: My standard 90s grunge rock attire: Nirvana T-shirt, Rochas black leather jacket, velvet choker, Versace sunglasses, black Life Honesty jeans, Isabel Marant sneakers and a flannel shirt around the waist.

Q: Everyday style?

A: My everyday fashion can range from my take on Kurt Cobain to Daphne Guinness!

Q: Your passion?

A: Two things. I’ve had an obsession with guitars since I was a baby and managed to manifest an abundance of them. More recently, I’ve become engrossed in learning about consciousness, and that interest has led to the creation of my wellness company. Both disciplines are so incredibly diverse, yet feed into each other.

Q: Plan B?

A: I come from a long line of doctors, so growing up I also wanted to be a surgeon.

Q: DNA change?

A: I must say, I’m happy with my self. My wellness principles have certainly changed my life for the better in this regard. I’m all about being grateful for my many blessings and making daily improvements to my outlook and subsequent behavior.

Q: Role models?

A: If I had to choose one, I’d say my great grandmother on my dad’s side, Florence Ethel Linda Levy. She was born into great privilege but was disowned by her family when they didn’t approve of her choice of a marriage partner. She was a strong workaholic that achieved so much for a woman in those times. She adored her family and managed to put both her sons through medical school. We were also born on the same day 100 years apart!

Q: Recurring dream?

A: As soon as I realize that I’m dreaming and become lucid, I fly to the spectacular luminescent outer edges of space until I feel that I may have gone too far and have to come back. I probably have this dream at least once a week.

Q: Best gift?

A: I had been nagging my parents for a guitar for years, but they always said that I was too young. When I was 12, I asked my mother what she had bought me for Christmas, and she reluctantly confessed that it was The entire set of Harry Potter books. I was bitterly disappointed but bit my lip and tried to look excited. On Christmas morning the smallish wrapped box under the tree looked and felt like the Harry Potter series, but when I ripped off the paper, I couldn’t believe it was a guitar amp! Then, from behind the curtain, my mother pulled a long tall box shaped like an electric guitar. I cried with happiness, and that gift set me on the path to learning what became one of the greatest joys of my life!

Q: Three blessings?

A: There is an infinite amount of blessing in my life, but if I had to narrow them down to only three - health, family, and rock ‘n’ roll.

Q: Favorite charity?

A: I’m happy to be assisting the Runa Foundation through my Awaken Guayusa tea. The RUNA initiative provides work and a Fair Trade Certified income stream to over 3,000 indigenous Kichwa farmers in the Ecuadorean Amazon and aids in their community development. The foundation is working to improve the livelihoods of indigenous farmers in the Amazon by showing we can all benefit from the bounty of the rainforest without destroying it. I also support the Grosche & Weissen safe water project. This initiative creates at least five days of safe drinking water for people in need in developing countries around the world.

Q: Greatest Accomplishment?

A: Playing lead guitar in the house band for one of the contestants on NBC’s The Voice which aired in front of an audience 10.4 million people. That was a great one!

Q: #MeToo moment?

A: Unfortunately, many woman in the entertainment industry have had their fair share of #metoo moments. I am very grateful that the industry is evolving with this surge of empowerment and the female community banding together—women will finally be able to tell their stories and be heard.

Q: What’s next?

A: I’ll be releasing some new music and heading back out on tour again later this year. Also, my Topspot App launched. I’m very excited and can’t wait to show everyone. Stay tuned!
