A LEVEL SUN BED. Some of my final work from my A2 Level course work. I used Pro-E to generate the CAD drawings. I manufactured the final model from Oak by hand.
BRIEF. You are to design a ‘non-literal product’, i.e. a product that has no prescribed function, but which consciously manipulates how an electronic, personal domestic or business product can be perceived. The semantic should be appropriate to mass manufactured, small-scale product. You must develop your design through the use of sketch work and soft models.
SOFT MODEL DEVELOPMENT.
BUS STOP Design and develop a bus stop that encourages interaction between users and the bus stop. The potential environment for the bus stop is Newcastle Upon-Tyne.
SKETCH WORK. Here is some of the initial sketch work I completed. At this stage I wanted to explore a variety of different shapes and focus on the form of the design.
Final CAD render.
