About H천riaos

Preparing for your stay Thank-you for choosing to stay on Hõriaos for your next holiday. We’ve no doubt that you’ll love Hõriaos as much as we do. We hope the information in this booklet will answer any questions you may have about your stay, but should you have any more, please get in touch with us.

Health & Immigration When you are travelling in and out of Hõriaos (and when you arrive on the island where you will be taken to Hõriaos from) you will need to be able to present a valid passport for every member of your party, as well as the respective forms and visas—you can find out more about those on the MGB website (mgb.gov). Hõriaos is free of all dangerous illnesses, and Hõriaos is not a malaria zone. Hõriaos does however have mosquitoes like any other tropical island, so wearing anti-repellent spray is recommended, whether you bring one from home or use the complimentary anti-repellent spray provided.

What To Wear Like most other islands in the area, Hõriaos is usually hot and quite humid. By all means pack beach and casualwear, as well as some swimwear. If you do forget anything, we’ve got some complimentary swimwear as well as normal clothes avaliable in each guest villa, and at the Guest Services Hut. You are never required to wear smart clothes when you’re on Hõriaos, as beachwear is acceptable everywhere! We do ask, however, that guests please have tops and bottoms on when they dine on the beach. For guests who would like to explore the central island areas, thin long trousers are recommended, due to the nature of the central areas. But please don’t feel pressured to bring smart clothes—that’s up to you!

Safety We take safety very seriously on Hþriaos. We have a resident emergency response team as well as teams on other islands a 5 minute helicopter ride away. During the rainy season (Normally November— February), the island is suspect to heavy rainfall, but nothing to be concerned about. The island is protected against thunderstorms all year round. As weather is unpredictable at the best of times, the island is always subject to small tropical storms. The island staff will ensure your safety at all times. Staff will be on hand, should you have any questions.

Activities You’re never short of things to on the island. You can take advantage of most activities as much as you like for free. If there’s anything that’s not on the list, contact us, and we can try and arrange it for you.
