The Pergola

The domed structure between Atkinson and Terrell Halls is a pergola and serves as both a Georgia Ctollege landmark and symbol. This is also the structure that is spotlighted in our official GC logo!

The pergola became a notable landmark because it once symbolized the entrance and exit of a student's time at Georgia College - students would enter campus for convocation and exit through it for commencement.
