JUNIOR ALL-AMERICANS PLENTIFUL FOR BULLDOGS

Current Bulldogs Jenny Bae and LoraLie Cowart are latest in a long list of UGA golfers who arrived in Athens following celebrated junior careers. All told, 26 Georgia golfers have combined to secure 62 AJGA Junior All-America certificates. Most notably, Vicki Goetze was a six-time first-team AJGA AllAmerican and also was named National Golfer of the Year in 1988, 1989 and 1990. Goetze, of course, went on to an equally impressive two-year collegiate career when she captured medalist honors at the 1992 NCAA Championships and won individual titles in seven of 22 tourneys.
