March 21-22 Georgia International Convention Center Atlanta GA For the 4th year, the green industry was represented at the CEFGA Student Career Expo, with the theme “How Do You Want To Change the World?”. Sponsored by UAC, NALP, Downey Trees, Ed Castro Landscape, Greenwood Group, HighGrove Partners, Landmark Landscapes, Outdoor Expressions, Plants Creative Landscapes, Vermeer Southeast, with support of Chattahoochee Tech, Crabapple Landscape Experts, MNI Direct and UGA, students, teachers and guidance counselors learned about the wide variety of careers available in our industry. The 2019 expo, held March 21-22 at College Park’s Georgia International Convention Center (GICC), drew a record 8,615 total attendees, an increase of 4.5 percent over the previous year and almost 18 percent since 2015. It was the Career Expo’s final year at the GICC, where it has been held since 2009; next year it moves to the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta.
