SELECTED PROJECTS

SANGREMAL CULTURAL PARK

ACADEMIC PROJECT (2015)

Sangremal Cultural Park revitalizes a large private site on the perimeter of the historical downtown of Queretaro. The site has a very important historical value, so an intimate relation with the context was a very important factor on the project. The proposal consists on the creation of a cultural park, where public space and cultural programs come together as the most important cultural infrastructure of the city.

PROGRAM

1 : 1000 PHYSICAL MODEL

MASTER PLAN

CONCEPTUAL DIAGRAMS

Relocate all non-historical buildings, generating a big public space and new park for the city.

New openings on the perimeter and historical wall, providing visual and physical permeability to the site.

New street. Different fluxes. Better connectivity to the site.

Connect the downtown with the acueduct throughout the park with a main walkway.

AERIAL RENDERING

MODERN ART MUSEUM OF QUERETARO (MUQ)

ACADEMIC PROJECT (2015)

The Modern Art Museum is located on a cultural park, the building is conceptualized as a non-invasive building to the park, so the program is developed underground and there is a volume extracted from the park, creating an underground courtyard to provide natural light into the museum. The extracted volume is then rised above the park and the roof remains as a public space, where the whole city can be appreciated.

On the back of the house originally there was a grove which now is going to be developed as a 4-level building. Design collaboration with Jose Carlos Hernandez. This project is currently waiting for the construction license in order to begin.
