Keeping Up with Tap and Toilet Trends

Always keeping up on the latest style and technology trends in bathroom products, members of Gerber’s product team from Woodridge, IL, met up with counterparts from Germany and Taiwan to attend the ISH 2023 trade fair in Frankfurt, Germany. After a brief hiatus due to COVID, the typically biennial show was held March 13-17, 2023. Highlighting new trends in HVAC and water products, more than 150,000 international visitors attended this year’s show ISH is considered the world’s preeminent bathroom exposition and covers the spectrum of vitreous china (VC) and HVAC water industry products.

“Our team attends ISH to discover the latest product trends in bathrooms from across the globe,” says Katie Hayes, Director of Product Management – Fittings. “It’s a great opportunity to identify emerging trends in both style and function, and then work to translate those trends into product solutions that support Gerber’s brand and product strategy.”

Gerber teams also learned about new technologies in VC products, as well as popular style trends, including colors and finishes, says Director of VC Product Management, Kevin McJoynt. He adds, “ISH gives us the opportunity to flex our imaginations while staying aware of how the market is evolving .”

“It was also great to connect in person with our team members from our various offices around the world to brainstorm and collaborate,” Katie says.
