Trips and Activities

Students will be given the option to sign up for 5 or 6 courses. All students will be required to indicate their course preferenc es on a sign-up sheet and will be asked to obtain the signature of their grade or college advisor. Students who choose to take 5 courses will be able to add 2 or 3 Independent Learning Ses sions after receiving their schedules. Students who choose to take 6 courses will have no room in their schedules for Indepen dent Learning Sessions.

Independent Learning Sessions will run during every block for 1 or 1.5 hours. If you are not scheduled in a class during a specif ic block, you must elect to do self-regulated independent work under the guidance of a teacher. You can choose different ILs each week. Here is a sample of some of the ILs that will be of fered throughout the month: • Independent reading • Beginning Spanish & French • Musical instrument practice • Classics library • Open art studio
