Before your party, create a pack of 5-10 note cards. On one side of the card, glue a picture of one of the products that you have in your demo. On the other side write or type descriptions of the products in the manner of a script. Essentially, type up what one could say when demoing the product. You can use descriptions from the catalog, website, or even training videos. Lay the cards on a table, picture side up. As guests arrive, have them choose a card. When you are going through your demo, have your guests come up one at a time and demo the product that they chose. You may have to give them a little help, but encourage them to be natural and just talk about the product. What this accomplishes is showing you which of your guests would be natural consultants. You can then tell them that they did a great job and your job really isn’t much harder than what they just did. Next time, they could be the ones making money at a party!

Most women I know have at least three or four balls in the air at all times: work, children, home, business and oh yeah, let’s not forget about Facebook notifications. Somewhere between the first cup of coffee and a zillion notifications blowing up on your phone, your action plan can quickly go down the drain. Before you know it, it’s 8pm and you’re falling into bed feeling like you worked your tushy off but got absolutely nothing accomplished. Okay, maybe you threw in a load of laundry. But laundry does not make you money. Girlfriend, what you need is a system to help you stay focused and work your business purposefully. By week four you’ll be killin’ it like a boss! Me Monday: A clear focus starts with a strong personal business. Lead the way and spend the first day of the week working on your personal calendar. That includes booking parties, scheduling Facebook Party posts and hostess coaching for parties coming up this week. When your calendar is full, you’ll feel more confident and ready to tackle the rest of your goals. Go you! Do you track your business?
Many consultants do not fully understand the importance of finding out their averages in order to improve certain areas of their business. Do you know your business? I am not talking Tracking your business helps you find areas about the range of prints that a certain tote style for improvement. Set a goal to track your business. You can use pencil and paper, a spreadsheet, however you are comfortable. Track key areas like your party average, guests per party, how many no’s until you get a yes to joining your team, your PEQA count, and how much time you spend partying versus non-income producing activity. I think you will find as you move through the year, you wil feel as if you have a better understanding of your business. You will be able to recognize patterns and deficiencies that could be sidetracking your success!

Thirty-One just announced they are doing new options for setting up your own business and I definitely want to talk to you about it! You are so successful in your current business and people like you become rock stars with Thirty-One. I want to share some of this with you today so let me know asap when is good. I can’t wait!!!” This approach and your personality will make sure that the month of January is a great recruiting month for you and a month that will change the lives of the people you reach out to!
