Transmitting their experience in creating awesome architectures into a product, the HBA Singapore team created the design of Rilievo. If Gessi can be said to have given the relevance of jewels to functional designs for the bathroom, HBA infused them with a contour of purity, harmony and peace”. GRATIFYING PRIVATE MOMENTS AND HEALING EMOTIONS ratificanti momenti privati ed G emozioni curative The frenetic flow of work and daily life makes the space and time dedicated to oneself especially important. As a result, people are increasingly aware of the quality they expect from the furnishings in their homes and the places they visit. In fact, they search for spaces where experiencing private moments of wellbeing and rebalance. Gessi has one established tradition of creating bathroom concepts that inspire sensations of purity and wellbeing, visual order and coordination in the space, products conceived to be beneficial to the user’s body and mind. Gessi engaged the international architectural Studio HBA (acronym for Hirsh Bedner Associates) to design a collection embodying all the values of simple elegance, clarity and harmony people demand today from a private space. GESSI è impegnata nella creazione di una collezione di complementi per il bagno che ispiri sensazioni di purezza e benessere in grado di organizzare lo scenario domestico in modo ordinato e armonioso, al fine di essere benefico per il corpo e la mente. Lo Studio di architettura internazionale Hirsh Bedner Associates, noto come HBA, è stato coinvolto nel compito di progettare una collezione ispirata alla necessità di pulizia, chiarezza e armonia che le persone richiedono da uno spazio privato di benessere.
A CONCEPT OF TIDINESS AND HARMONY Un concetto di ordine e armonia If harmony, based on order, is dictated by a mathematical/ geometric ratio between parts, the maximum expression of purity in a form is – according to HBA’s belief - the intersection of a circle into a square.
Rilievo is a bathroom furnishings collection that inspires sensations of purity and wellbeing. 3
This geometric and architectural symbol has been considered greatly evocative through time and across continents and cultures. As the circle evokes eternal movement, the square symbolizes eternity and immutability. The coupling of these two geometries becomes the dynamic image of purity: the transition towards perfection and equilibrium. Indeed a circle inscribed into a square is the theme that Rilievo by HBA for Gessi brilliantly brings to life, gracing both touch and sight to make the bathroom a haven of body and soul rebalance. Indeed, it embodies a new balance between style, emotion and functionality. Se l’armonia, basata sull’ordine, è dettata da un rapporto matematico / geometrico tra le parti, l’espressione massima della purezza della forma è - secondo l’intuizione di HBA - l’iscrizione di un cerchio in un quadrato. Questa figura geometrica e architettonica è stata molto evocativa nel tempo e attraverso continenti e culture. Il cerchio evoca il movimento eterno; il quadrato simboleggia l’eternità e l’immutabilità. L’accoppiamento di queste due geometrie diventa l’immagine dinamica della purezza: la transizione verso la perfezione e l’equilibrio. Un cerchio inscritto in un quadrato è il tema che RILIEVO by HBA per Gessi fa vivere brillantemente.
