Go big and go fast seems to be the mantra HTC repeated to themselves when designing the EVO 4G. It sports a massive 4.3 inch capacitive touch display with a 800x480 resolution, and while it's not quite as crisp as the Super AMOLED screens found on some devices, the EVO's screen is incredibly clear, crisp and responsive. While some may argue that big screens are pushing these phones into the realm of tablets, you'll appreciate the HTC EVO 4G's extra real estate when typing on the on-screen keyboard and browsing websites. Even in portrait mode there is ample room between the keys to facilitate accurate typing. It's clear that the HTC EVO 4G was designed for multimedia playback. The phone includes a handy kickstand on the back so you can easily prop the device up on a desk to watch movies or picture slide-shows. An HDMI port also makes it easy to hook your phone up to your TV to stream movies to your high-def screen. Most companies who sell Android powered devices add some sort of skin over top of stock Android in order to differentiate their phone from everyone else's, and to enhance the user experience. HTC loads their own skin, Sense, over Android and it's proved to be one of the more popular interfaces. Users have the option of customizing up to seven screens with widgets that display everything from the weather to social networking status in real time. And the 1GHZ Qualcomm Snapdragon processor keeps everything running at a snappy pace with no lag. Perhaps the biggest advantage to having a screen this big and a processor this fast is having Sprint's 4G network to pull data from. Thanks to Sprint's fast 4G network, you can not only stream movies in high quality, but you can also use the front facing camera to make video calls something that can only be done over WiFi on competing devices. There really isn't much not to like about the HTC EVO 4G; it's currently the best selling phone on Sprint, and while it may not be an iPhone killer, it could be the first nail in the coffin.
