Although it is a great idea to make up some games focusing on the princess theme, it is just as easy to think of the usual party games and then adapt them to suit the theme. Sleeping Princess My daughters love playing "Sleeping Princess". It is very similar to wink murder. One of the girls is chosen as the Jester and leaves the room. Everyone else closes their eyes and you touch one of the remaining players on the shoulder. Such player is now the Evil Queen; but no one else knows who she is. The Jester comes back and must figure out who the Evil Queen is. The Evil Queen's mission is to wink at every player other than the Jester without the Jester seeing. Each winked-atgirl will fall asleep like Sleeping Beauty upon being winked at. Hide and Seek Another example would be "Hide and Seek". The person who is doing the seeking can be the Evil Queen. If found, the princess has to lie down and pretend to be sleeping beauty. She can only be awoken by one of the other princesses, and the Evil Queen's aim is to make everyone fall asleep so she can be the fairest in the land! Musical Thrones "Musical Thrones" is basically musical chairs, but the players have to walk around like princesses while the music is playing. If they rush too quickly to a chair when the music stops, they are knocked out because they are not acting as a princess would! Use your discretion to ensure everyone has a fair chance at this game. Pass The Parcel Another example is "Pass the Parcel", but use a slipper instead of a parcel. Try and be experimental and use one of your old shoes as the slipper, painting it a princess color and covering it in glitter. You could even get the girls to decorate it beforehand. Whoever has the slipper when the music stops gets a treat! Prince's Crown "Pin The Tail On The Donkey" can be easily converted into "Prince's Crown"; no explanation needed! Princess Idol "Princess Idol" will give the girls an opportunity to compete at singing or dancing, and be judged by the other girls. Princess Rulebook It is also a great idea to have a Princess Rulebook, so that everyone's good behavior can be
awarded by having treats. This is well worth having!
