I am a wife, mother to four spectacular daughters, and the publisher and editor of a magazine for mothers called get born: the uncensored voice of motherhood. I founded the magazine because I felt like women needed to have a forum where they could read and write honest material about motherhood. We publish personal essays, poetry, features, and fiction on the full spectrum of motherhood--all ages and experiences. We believe that the process in which a woman is birthed when she becomes a parent continues throughout her life, and is a nuanced, sometimes conflicted process deserving of high quality expression. get born seeks to fill that niche.
