How Legal Studies Transform Law Making and Preserve Sanctity of Life

We see technology touching the skies today. We see organizations swelling at a rampant rate today. The government sector is advancing at a rapid rate. There is so much happening around. However, what is the driving force maintaining the order of each process? It is nothing but legal studies. From corporate sectors to the public sectors of the country, every nation has its regulations for a well-defined functioning of the processes. The constitution of India, necessary acts and various other guidelines are specially designed in a certain way to avoid any injustice or irresponsible behaviour at any level. Law subject is an ocean in itself. Therefore, there are various law courses which are essentially tailor made to fulfil this need. These are available at Undergraduate level as 3- years LLB program. At the same time, there are 5-Years integrated courses too. Those who wish to secure a master degree can apply for an LLM course.


There are various specializations in this domain. Some of these are corporate law, criminal law, business law and more. Prominent Legal Entrance Examination for LLB Admission LSAT Examination: This is known as the Law School Admission Test. This examination is conducted for legal studies programs. It assesses students based on various skills such as: – a. Reading Comprehension, b. Writing, c. Analytical Reasoning, d. Logical Reasoning. This is examination comprises objective-type questions (MCQs- Multiple Choice Questions). This test is broadly divided into two parts. In the first part, students are supposed to attempt sections such as reading comprehension, analytical reasoning, and logical reasoning questions. The second one comprises the writing section. The latter can be submitted eight days before the objective paper. This year, due to the ongoing Corona pandemic, the LSAT examination is being remotely proctored. Students will be required to abide by essential guidelines as prescribed by the officials. The LSAT score is accepted by some of the prominent ABA-accredited law schools for LLM and LLB admission. It thus helps the students to make the right choices while selecting the desired law colleges. They can apply for both LLB and LLM courses through this examination. Eligibility Criteria for LLB Admission The law courses are available as UG and PG courses. There are integrated programs as well. Each one shares its own eligibility guidelines. It is described as follows:A. LLB Courses- Candidates who wish to apply for LLB programs must hold a minimum graduation degree. Usually, every college establishes a minimum marks guideline. Students must strive to secure a minimum of 45% marks to be eligible for the same. B. Integrated Law Courses- These programs are meant for the students who wish to attend 5-year UG-Law integrated courses. Students who pass class 12th examination are


eligible to apply for this program. Universities take the admission based on entrance examination scores secured. C. Higher Students- Candidates who wish to go for higher studies must hold a minimum LLB degree. There are PhD courses also in this domain. Every year numbers of students appear for the law courses. There is an urgent need for polished professionals in this domain. Ever social disparity, injustice can only be resolved with a committed army of lawmakers who are driven to bring about that change in the society and world at large.
