The opening reception will be held on Friday, July 7th, from 5:307:30pm. Many of the artists will be in attendance, so it’s a great time to enjoy the exhibit. We’ll have a brochure on hand with a map to all the pieces so that you can be sure to see them all! The exhibits will be on display throughout the summer, and then we will have an online auction in September to find new homes for each of the creations. Join us at the Historic Ramsey House for a Vintage Base Ball Game! This is a FREE event for the entire family! Make sure to bring your own chair and a shady umbrella or tent. We have several dates throughout the Spring and Summer, so be sure to mark your calendars!

The Tennessee Vintage Base Ball Association promotes living history by bringing the 19th century to life through baseball events that use the rules, equipment, costumes and culture of the 1860s. Their goal is to exemplify, to youth and adults alike, the values that are lacking in modern-day athletic programs, and encourage a sense of belonging, regardless of race, gender, religious conviction or physical ability. It was also the subject of one of our recent Zooms; this presentation will be a little different, but with some of the same color slides of Fort Sanders’ most interesting existing houses.
