We are so excited to spotlight Andrejka. She is SO talented in her craft. Rebranding this year by building her personal brand. She is taking on consulting, courses, and even retreats! She is someone in the photography business you want in your life! Andrejka has been in the photography business for over 15 years and shoots for luxury weddings in Northern Michigan and even offers destination weddings for her clients.

How did Andrejka Photography come About?

"I grew up with a camera in my hand, all through high school and college. I was known as the girl with the camera! When I left college and got into the “real” world I didn’t think photography was a “real” career.

After hanging up my camera for 5 years I missed it so much, I couldn’t NOT do photography.

I walked into a camera store bought the pro equipment on a maxed-out credit card and 15 years later the rest is history as they say."

What type of Photography work do you specialize in?

"Editorial Weddings, Portraits, and Education."

Why did you want to go into the wedding industry?

"THE JOY! I love photographing people's emotions on one of the most important and memorable days of their lives.

I also love getting people in front of my camera that aren't used to being photographed.

To the people who think they are not “photogenic” and afraid of the camera, proving them wrong is one of the great gifts I can offer.

I love to create an environment where people have fun and embrace the camera in a way they never have before."

"I realized so much of the dissatisfaction had to do with changing your mindset into that of an Entrepreneur. Also, the importance of understanding systems and communication. I believe that making small changes in your business can create a better environment for the photographer, their clients, and the wedding industry as a whole."

If someone is starting a photography business what are two things every photographer should consider?

"Getting a mentor to help navigate the beginning steps of starting a business. This will save you time, money and so much stress. It will also set you up for longer success.

We know you are also now teaching Photographers how to build wildy profitable businesses, tell us what inspired this.

"After 15 years in business and listening to many photographers complain about not making enough money, working too hard, and not liking their clients I realized I never felt this way.. why?"

Invest in the beginning. Even though it’s scary.. invest in systems, software, and mentorship. Don’t wait till you “have the clients".. If you build it they will come! Be patient and trust! "

What is NEXT for Andrejka?

"SO MANY NEW THINGS! I am in growth and expansion mode. I’m launching a whole new education platform that is going to include 1;1 coaching, VIP days for individual intensive help, business retreat and an 8week all-inclusive business program!"
