hen you think of motorcycle

facets of being on two wheels............but for riding on one wheel? Bigg Mannie, lover of both. His love for all things two
wheeled is evident, being the owner of a dirt bike, a Ninja ZX1200, and several
Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoys
riding across country, and has traveled from one coast to the other, on four
separate occasions. But.....when he’s not
getting yonder, he’s commonly known for his one wheel love!

bikers each year, and the ride can range from 80 to 100 miles from start to finish.

I
was fascinated by the fact that Bigg
Mannie expressed the importance of
wearing safety gear. It was something
he learned as a young rider, that has stuck
with him through the years. He stated that he never rides without his helmet, which
is a good thing, considering the dangers involved in his one wheel riding. He shared
that he’s fallen a few times, even injuring his wrist, which resulted in a broken bone
and damaged ligaments. He also fell in 2012, which caused him minor injuries and road rash.
A
s an independent rider, Bigg Mannie expressed, that riding is
his blessing. He said, he’s never
been affiliated with a club, and yet the love that he receives is overwhelming. He simply enjoys being on his motorcycle, whether it be on two wheels or one. He hopes that
he’s able to continue to do what he loves and look forward to taking his next cross country trip, getting YONDER!

ounded in 2015, Georgia Two Wheel Nation or G2WN, as it is known by most, was founded by Dante Yamaha Travis. His vision was a simple one, to bring the bikers of the state of Georgia together. The movement started as a means of connecting riders, both independents and club affiliates, together through the use of his Facebook group. His slogan would be, “Let’s Ride!” As Dante’s vision for the group continued to grow, so did the number of members. Currently with over 3,800 members in G2WN, he thought it was necessary to carefully select a team of administrators that would assist in facilitating. Each team member was carefully selected due to their understanding of what the group was created for.
T
he Facebook group was a place for bikers to post meet up spots, plan trips, biker related events, safety tips, weather updates and so much more. As the group began to grow, so did the potential to make a true difference in the surrounding communities, while at
the same time, showing that bikers of all backgrounds can come together in times of need, while helping and supporting each other. Because of this, many relationships were formed. G2WN or the “Nation”, as it is presently referred to, is now more of a family. Different group members plan to meet each week, at designated locations, and ride together to various places. Their rides often vary, whether it be local riding from city to city, or a weekend trip crossing state lines. The group is known for their turn-n-burns, as they’ll ride a few hundred miles, have lunch and head back home.
I
n 2016, G2WN was incorporated, legally establishing the name, Georgia 2 Wheel Nation, LLC. Within a year’s time, the “Nation” has grown from 300 members, to well over 3,000 active riders. The members all share in a few common interests, which is riding, fellowshipping and community service. G2WN is a proud supporter for the Fight Against Breast Cancer, and proactively participates in other charitable causes. page 13

T
wo women, both members of Women of Klutch & Khrome MC, shared their personal stories of their ride with breast cancer and how it has
changed their life, and yet inspired so many
others. Latoya Broadus, “Pink”, president of WKNK MC in Detroit, and Orlantha Bennett, “PKruzz”, National President of WKNK MC out of Chicago, had more in common than
they could ever imagine. Both women diagnosed before the early age of 40, found out through different means, of
their breast cancer, however early detection was key in both situations.
O
ne day Pink decided that she would visit a spiritual advisor, just to ask a few questions
that was on her mind. Upon her leaving, he stopped her and told her that “there was heat
coming from her breast” and that she should go see a doctor to have it checked. During her annual check-up, two weeks
later, she asked her ObGyn about doing self-breast exams. Her doctor administered an exam and felt a knot in one of her
breast. She scheduled both, an ultrasound and mammogram. The ultrasound showed two masses, about the size of a sweet page 22

was told by her surgeon that the aggressive cancer had spread to her lymph nodes. She would have to undergo chemotherapy and
radiation treatments. She completed a total of 16 chemotherapy
treatments and 23 cancer targeting radiation treatments. Though the treatments had taken a toll on her, it was her physical
appearance that bothered her the most. Her loss of hair and loss of both breast contributed to her physical sensitivity.

hile everyone else is going LEFT, we want to continue to go RIGHT! That’s what Julius Smith, AKA Juice, said about his club, Next Level MC, when asked what made them different! The long term member, and founder of the club stated that he wanted Next Level MC to be different from what was already the norm. He stated that there is always going to be someone that’s going to do more than the next person. “Someone will always be richer, someone will always be smarter, so you always strive to be better and to do better.....you strive to be on another level.....and with us, we’re always striving for the NEXT level.” page 24

N
ext Level MC, founded some 12 years ago, is led by National President “Juice” and National Vice President, Jason Gibson, AKA “Champ”. Both men have served as president in their respective chapters, prior to being appointed to their national positions. With six current chapters, and a few more in the immediate future, I asked the men what it meant to be a member of this elite male motorcycle club. I quickly learned that they shared common sentiments of what was important to them..........BROTHERHOOD and RIDING! Both men acknowledged that these two things were essential to being a member of Next Level MC. Juice noted that it was bigger than just riding to anniversary parties, stating that the real bonds are formed on the highway. Riding your motorcycle is a must in his organization and as their National President, he is out to set the bar high.
W
ith his father as his inspiration, Juice stated that he fell in love with motorcycles at the early age of seven. His father was what he considered a real “ground pounder”, as he traveled across the country frequently, even riding internationally in other countries. His love for riding would continue to evolve, and so would his vision for Next Level MC, which rightfully so, has become one of the founding aspects of the organization. In fact, Champ expressed that being a part of Next Level MC means doing everything on another level, to include riding!
T
he camaraderie amongst the men is a given, and at the end of the day, talking miles would be what keeps them motivated. Juice and Champ both expressed the importance of leading by example. Champ stated that he would never expect anything more from his brothers, than what he’s willing to give. Both men compare the relationships between each of their brothers as “sibling rivalry” due to their competitive nature in getting miles, yet the love for each other, still holds true. Juice noted that the men enjoy cross country riding, and stated that a few of the men had recently rode to each of the lower 48 states. He expressed the amount of respect he has for each of his brothers, however, at the end of the day, when it comes to riding, either they keep up, or get left behind. Though the competition among the men is quite evident, when it comes to their club, it’s pretty simple..........it’s NEXT LEVEL -VS- EVERYBODY!
