Smokin Hot Tailgate Sausages Ingredients: 8 hot Italian sausage links 2 green bell peppers, sliced 2 large sweet onions sliced 1 cup olive oil Âź teaspoon red pepper flakes Salt and pepper to taste Directions: One day in advance, pour the olive oil, peppers and onions and red pepper flakes, salt and pepper into a 2 gallon zippered bag. Place in the refrigerator over night. The next day, drain off most of the oil and pan fry the mixture. Place in a covered oven proof dish. Grill the Italian sausages and place on top of the peppers and onions. Set over the medium heat section of the grill to keep warm. Serve on a hoagie roll with coarse mustard.
