Tailgating / Outdoors Menu Hints: Some tips for a safe tailgating meal. To ensure a safe and easy way to transport food to the tailgating site, fill a few gallon size zippered bags with water the night before the game and lay them flat in the freezer. This will provide a great way to layer the ice between the food keeping it at a proper temperature. The frozen bags take up less room in the cooler and also prevent the cooler from filling up with water from melting ice cubes. Empty the bags when you are done and store them in your cooler after drying for the next time. Here is an additional recipe to try: RECIPE: TEXAS STYLE DEVILED EGGS 6 Hard Cooked Eggs 3 Tablespoons Mayonnaise 3 Tablespoons Canned Chopped Green Chilis 1 1/2 Teaspoon Chipotle Pepper 1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Salt 3 Teaspoons Salsa Thinly Sliced Green Onions Thinly Sliced Black Olives

After eggs are hard boiled, let cool and cut in half. Place yolks in a medium bowl and add the mayonnaise, chilis, chipoltle pepper, and garlic salt. Mix well and stuff egg halves with the mixture. Top each egg with a dolop of salsa, a slice of olive and a piece of the green onion. Chill well and keep covered til ready to serve. Serves 12
