ONE OF THE KEY COMPONENTS OF THE AIESEC EXPERIENCE IS A HIGH QUALITY INTERNATIONAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE. TO ENSURE HIGH QUALITY EXCHANGE AT A GLOBAL LEVEL, ALL AIESEC LC’S MUST ADHERE TO THE XPP.

are the internships raised by us in the companies to provide an opportunity for AIESEC members of other countries to develop themselves in a life changing experience.

GENERAL POLICIES THE INTERN CANNOT BE SELECTED MORE THAN 2 YEARS AFTER GRADUATION THE INTERN CANNOT BE MORE THAN 30 YEARS OLD EVERY AIESEC MEMBER CAN PARTICIPATE IN A MAXIMUM OF TWO AIESEC INTERNSHIPS THE PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP MUST NOT BE RECEIVING PERMENANT RESIDENCE IN THE COUNTRY. IF THE COMPANY AND INTERN DECIDE TO EXTEND THEIR CONTRACT BEYOND 78 WEEKS AIESEC WILL NOT PLAY ANY ROLE IN FACILITATING THIS
THE PURPOSE OF THE INTERNSHIP MUST NOT BE TO PROVIDE A HOLIDAY IN ANOTHER COUNTRY THE INTERNSHIP MUST PROVIDE SOME SORT OF LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND MUST NOT BE SOLELY TO EARN MONEY THE INTERN’S HOME LC MUST ENSURE THAT THE INFORMATION PUT DOWN IN THE TN FORM, PERTAINING TO ACADEMIC BACKGROUNDS ETC IS CORRECT THE INTERN MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE PART IN THE INTERNSHIP IF HE IS INVOLVED IN ANY ACTIVITY THAT MAY BE POTENTIALLY HARMFUL TO THE TN OR TO AIESEC THE HOST LC MUST TAKE CARE OF RECEPTION AND HELP THE INTERN ADAPT TO THE NEW ENVIRONMENT

AIESEC Preparation INTERN MUST PASS THROUGH A STRUCTURED INDUCTION PROCESS INTERN MUST BE AWARE OF THE RELEVANCE OF EXCHANGE TO AIESEC’S IDENTITY AND VISION INTERN MUST BE AWARE THAT HE IS AN AIESEC AMBASSADOR IN THE WORK PLACE AND IN THE HOST COUNTRY
INTERN MUST BE AWARE OF THE PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS FROM THE TN INTERN MUST BE AWARE OF EXPECTATIONS OF AIESEC INVOLVEMENT IN THE HOST LC INTERN MUST UNDERSTAND EXCHANGE POLICIES, CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS AND COMPLAINT PROCEDURES INTERN MUST SET PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GOALS FOR THE INTERNSHIP
INTERN MUST BE AWARE OF THE PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS FROM THE TN INTERN MUST BE AWARE OF EXPECTATIONS OF AIESEC INVOLVEMENT IN THE HOST LC INTERN MUST UNDERSTAND EXCHANGE POLICIES, CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS AND COMPLAINT PROCEDURES INTERN MUST SET PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT GOALS FOR THE INTERNSHIP
SAFETY and LOGISTICS Preparation HEALTH AND TRAVEL INSURANCE: INTERN MUST BE MADE AWARE OF THE IMPORTANCE OF PURCHASING A COMPREHENSIVE AND ADEQUATE HEALTH, TRAVEL AND LIABILITY INSURANCE
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS INTERN SHOULD BE INFORMED OF BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ADVISED BY NATIONAL GOVERNMENT, AND SHOULD BE UPDATED ON ANY ADVICE GIVEN BY NATIONAL GOVERNMENT ON MATTERS PERTAINING TO PERSONAL SAFETY
WORK PERMIT and VISA INTERN IS RESPONSIBLE FOR APPLYING FOR HIS/HER VISA/WORK PERMIT. THE HOST AND HOME LC MUST ASSIST HIM/HER IN THE PROCESS INTERN MUST BE INFORMED THAT IT IS HIS/HER RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE HIM/HERSELF AWARE OF THE LAWS OF THE DESTINATION COUNTRY. HE/SHE SHOULD REFER TO THE EMBASSY OR GOVERNMENT WEBSITE FOR TRAVEL SPECIFIC INFORMATION
COUNTRY and CULTURAL Preparation THE CULTURAL PREPARATION IS TO BE DIVIDED BETWEEN THE HOST AND HOME LC INFORMATION/RESOURCES ON DESTINATION COUNTRY MUST BE PROVIDED BY HOST LC. INFO ON CULTURE, SOCIAL NORMS, POLITICS, ECONOMY ETC ARE IMPORTANT INTERN MUST BE AWARE OF HIS/HER RESPONSIBILITIES AS AMBASSADOR OF THE SENDING LC
PROFESSIONAL Preparation INTERN MUST BE GIVEN INFORMATION ABOUT THE KIND OF PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT THAT HE/SHE WILL BE WORKING IN. HE/SHE SHOULD BE MADE AWARE OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE OF THE TN INTERN SHOULD REVIEW WHAT IS EXPECTED OF HIM AS STATED IN THE JOB DESCRIPTION INTERN MUST USE THE JOB DESCRIPTION THE LEARNING OUTCOMES TO SET GOALS FOR PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
RECEPTION – HOST LC’S RESPONSIBILITIES AIRPORT PICK UP RECEPTION PACKAGE TN BUDDY HELP IN FINDING REASONABLE ACCOMODATION ORIENTATION FOR USING EVERYDAY SERVICES LIKE PUBLIC TRANSPORT, GROCERY SHOPPING, HAIR SALON, EMERGENCY SERVICES, DOCTOR, PHARMACY ETC)
ORIENTATION TO LOCAL AIESEC REALITY AND INVOLVING THE INTERN IN LC ACTIVITIES INFORMATION ABOUT CULTURE (BUSINESS AND SOCIAL) AND SOCIAL NORMS SHOULD BE PROVIDED. ALSO, ADVICE ON PLACES OF INTEREST THAT THE INTERN COULD VISIT IN HIS SPARE TIME SHOULD BE GIVEN ACCOMPANYING THE INTERN TO THE FIRST DAY OF WORK SET CLEAR EXPECTATIONS BETWEEN AIESEC, THE ORGANIZATION AND THE INTERN ABOUT COMPLAINT AND TERMINATION PROCEDURES, OPPORTUNITIES FOR TN INVOLVEMENT, AND FREQUENCY OF EVALUATION BETWEEN TN AND AIESEC
