BIOGRAPHY Ghostkick started off a breakthrough year in 2012 by topping the Beatport Nu-Disco charts with their debut single "Lust." This rare burst of spontaneous success catapulted them straight into the American heart of dance music culture: The Winter Music Conference, Miami. Performing their very first WMC in but their very first year together, the duo would go on to not only shake up Nikki Beach, but also turn the collective head of the many conferencing industry giants. Ghostkick's fresh genre-bending, spirit soaring, anthemic sound would go on to earn them high praise in Miami and in turn Miami would prove to be their informal invitation into the international dance scene big leagues. Back in their hometown of Los Angeles, Ghostkick has been riding a career defining momentum made upon the stuff of dreams, having already performed at several of LA's premier nightclubs and festivals alongside electronic giants Andy Moor, Blake Jarrell, Nadia Ali and Tritonal. The respect they've earned from their local dancefloor's in turn led them to a residency at Sutra, OC - one of the uppermost nightclubs in all of the West Coast. There they spent the latter half of 2012 honing their DJ love-craft - perfectly balancing their penchant for banging sets with the cultivated reverence of restraint in performing alongside esteemed industry icons. Indeed, their malleability and unadulterated love for all things electronic has placed them at the top of their game, being asked personally (and on multiple occasions) to set the stage for the monolithic, trance-star Dash Berlin. The duo capped off 2012 with a string of chart topping hits, getting air-play in the UK as well as topping Asian pop charts [Olleh Music] with their all-original international, progressive-house hit 'Celebrate'. Their remixing abilities would see similar success with an unparalleled, progressive-housemeets-dubstep take of french-indie rock sensation, Phoenix, which hit the #1 spot on the Hype Machines' Popular Blogchart. This in turn set them up to close out their first touring year with a dreammaking performance, playing alongside personal hero and legendary house icon, Benny Benassi. With such monumental feats already under their belts, Ghostkick takes up 2013 with a fully charged vision and purpose: to lead the evolution of electronic music into new creative and physical frontiers. In these first few months of the new year alone their passion is already proving tenacious, bringing the newly emerging, edgy "complextro" sounds to the rapidly growing Korean dance-music-meets-pop market. Following in the same vein as Zedd's 'Beauty and the Beat' hit for Justin Bieber, Ghostkick has just finished producing the latest single 'Runaway' for the international pop group sensation, SHINee. A 3-song EP that tells the prophetic story of man's near-future clash with living robots is set to be the darling of Ghostkick's full musical unveiling. With a bold exploration of sound design and tempo change, expect Ghostkick to make you re-think the accepted formula of electronic dance music.
