‘Make My House A Home’ Campaign An annual philanthropic event by Għ.S.T. and RTK in aid of children in need . On 4th and 5th December, the Għaqda Studenti tatTeoloġija (Għ.S.T.) together with RTK will be organising the annual ‘Make My House A Home’ Campaign in aid of the Preventive Care Unit, within ‘Uffiċċju Ejjew Għandi’ which helps families with children who are at risk of poverty. The event will kick off on Thursday 4th December at 09:15 with a number of short speeches, and the first orange for this year’s campaign will be squeezed at 09:30. Among the dignitaries who will be visiting our stand throughout the event there will be H.E. Bishop Scicluna, H.E. MarieLouise Coleiro Preca, Hon. Michael Farrugia MP, and Hon. Clyde Puli MP. The campaign will feature prominently on RTK with a number of live links. Donations can be made either by phone, on the numbers below, or directly at our stand on the Quadrangle at the University of Malta. Visitors will be able to savour freshly squeezed orange juice, oranges, cupcakes, doughnuts, and hot beverages, or have a go at our MaxiDraught board, at a donation. Throughout the event there will also be live acts. Amber will be singing at our stand on Thursday 4th december at 10:00, while on Friday we will have Odelsie at 10:00, and Ecca & Pell at 13:00. During last year’s event, we collected €3,500. This year we aim to collect as much money as we can for this just cause. Special phone numbers for donations: 500 493 53

Additional Information: The Għaqda Studenti tatTeoloġija (Għ.S.T.) is a facultybased student senaterecognised organisation and the official student organisation of the Faculty of Theology. The aims of the organization is to offer help to students in theological, spiritual and intellectual formation, and also through solidarity initiatives. Għaqda Studenti tatTeoloġija is above all at the service of its members: the students reading theology at any level at the University of Malta. Apart from this, from time to time, Għ.S.T. organizes social, academic and philanthropic activities. Originally the Royal University Students’ Theological Association, the Għaqda Studenti tatTeoloġija was formally founded in 1945. However, it was recently discovered that the Association was in fact a spinoff from an earlier society called ‘Ċirkolu ta’ Studju bejn lIstudenti talKors Akkademiku tatTeoloġija’ whose first meeting was held on the 21st December 1942 at St Joseph’s Institute in Ħamrun. Today, the Għaqda Studenti tatTeoloġija is above all else at the service of its members: the students reading theology at any level at the University of Malta. Two out of the seven members of the executive committee represent all their fellow students at the Faculty Board meetings to express their opinions, help them in their difficulties and sort out their problems. Għ.S.T. was the pioneer among Maltese student organisations to publish its own scientific review, “Melita Theologica”, which was first issued in 1947. Today, Melita Theologica is the official peerreviewed journal of the Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta, published jointly by the Faculty of Theology, the Theology Students Association and the Foundation for Theological Studies.
