Blocking out information on a photo or PDF is an easy process when using the Preview application. Preview is generally set as the default application to open any PDF. While you can’t delete text in Preview, you can block it out.

To cover text with a box in Preview: 1. Double click to open the image or PDF. It should open in the Preview app. 2. Click on the edit pencil.

4. Choose your box colors

3. Click on box icon.

5. Click and drag the box over your text & save.

Finally, in the second section choose "Always" for "Show scroll bar".

Can’t see your scroll bar? Isn’t it annoying? Make it stay on the page! Sometimes your scroll bar will disappear on websites or documents. To get it back you have to start clicking around until you see it and hope you can click on it before it disappears again. No more hide and seek! By setting your preferences correctly, you can make sure it always appears! "Technology is anything invented after you were born, everything else is just stuff" -Alan Kay
