BOB’S
YOUR UNCLE
Michele and I with Aimee, our Jack Russell Terrier, took a cross-country trip at the end of the summer. This Road Trip was the inspiration for our new product introductions for 2012. We covered 9,117 miles and visited 22 states over 5 weeks, photographing old neon signs along the way. We didn’t actually stay at any of the motels featured, or eat at any of the dining establishments, the signs were about all that was left of most of them. My fascination with these neglected neon signs is as much about an appreciation of a quickly disappearing art form as it is with finding some beauty in their decay. Martin Yeeles (co-founder)
