PRAYER REQUESTS Please pray for: Those mentioned in the Daily Prayer Calendar in the magazine and for Isla Devlin who is to be baptised today. All those in particular need of God’s comfort and healing, including, Bill Abbott, Liz Atkinson, Barbara Beatham, Jenny Beaumont, George Bell, Harry Bell, Dulcie Chamley, Jasmine Guy, Mary Hartnell, Gloria Hicks, Adrian Marshall, Ann McDonald, Jennifer Mole, Bill Overall, Janet Smith, Kathleen Wappat, Gavin Wheldon, Josh Winch, Alfred Wood and all the patients at the Friary Hospital. We commend unto God’s merciful keeping those who have recently died including William Callen, Gordon Stonehouse and Hilda Christian. We pray that God will bring comfort to all who mourn their loss. The Friends of St Mary’s are once again holding a BBQ at church. Please come and support this Friday, 8th July at 7.00pm. Tickets remain at the bargain price of £5 for adults and £3 primary age children. We would appreciate an idea of numbers so please buy your tickets in advance from Margaret Emmerson, Claire Murray or Liz Chambers or any other committee member. As in previous years we will be grateful for any donations of desserts or salads and there is a list at the back of church.


The Marrick Strawberry Tea is this year taking place on Sunday 7th August from 3.00pm-6.00pm. There will also be a zip wire, Morris Dancers and garden games to entertain everyone. The Oxford Gargoyles return to Richmond The Oxford Gargoyles, en route to the Edinburgh Fringe, will be performing at Richmond School on Saturday 13 August at 7pm. Tickets are available from Castle Hill bookshop or online at www.theoxfordgargoyles.com/tickets

If you are having a sort out over the summer holidays don’t forget the Friends of St Mary’s Silent Auction on September 24th. Your unwanted item may be someone else’s bargain.

The speaker will be Bishop John Pritchard talking on Living Faithfully with Death. Tuesday 26th July 2.00pm Mothers’ Union in the Methodist Church Hall. Speaker Bishop John Pritchard. All welcome Sunday 21st August 6.30pm Free to Be. A contemplative worship event which gives space to think, pray awaken the senses and simply be with God.
