PRAYER REQUESTS Please pray for: Those mentioned in the Daily Prayer Calendar in the magazine. All those in particular need of God’s comfort and healing, including, Liz Atkinson, George Bell, Harry Bell, Mary Hartnell, Brian Heap, Jennifer Jackson, Becky McNamara, Jennifer Mole, Cameron Murray, Joyce Robertson, Doreen and John Rucroft, John Willis and all the patients at the Friary Hospital. We commend unto God’s merciful keeping those who have recently died including Glenn Millar, Ronald Porter, Martin Braithwaite and Karen Ellerton. We pray that God will bring comfort to all who mourn their loss. Childcare wanted. Our Musical director, Chris Denton, is often required to play for occasional services, funerals and weddings etc. He would be grateful for any offers of help looking after his young son Chad during the short time he is playing. Please speak to Chris after the morning service or contact him on 07817 386070. Charity of the Month is next Sunday (5th February) when the charity supported will be Tear Fund. This is a leading relief and development charity, working in partnership with Christian agencies and churches worldwide to tackle the causes and effects of poverty. At present they are working in over 50 of the world's poorest countries. Deanery Synod - February 6th The next Synod is a celebration of who we are. This is an opportunity to see many of the exciting things happening in our Deanery and is an open meeting to which everyone is invited. Included on the agenda is a presentation on Marrick Priory. I look forward to seeing you there at Colburn Church Hall 7:00pm refreshments followed by 7:15pm start. Please let me know if you need a lift. Canon John Claire will be collating the Annual Reports for the parish in readiness for the APCM which is being held in St. Mary's at 11.30 on 26th March 2017. Please could you let her have the reports for the various groups and committees you are responsible for, no later than Monday 6th February, so that they can be published in the parish magazine prior the annual meeting. Many thanks Would those kind people who offered their services for the bell project please sign on the rota at the back of the church. We are aiming for three assistants each day to allow time for lunch, coffee breaks etc. We will be doing menial work at the beck and call of the professional bellhangers who will tell us exactly what to do.
