INSTRUCTIONSObjective: Girls will learn about how to market their cookies in a FUN way and will discuss business ethics!

Activity idea ONE: Cookie Menu Board (virtual or in-person)

Supplies:

• 22in x 28in poster board • tape or glue • scissors • markers • template & clip art Optional: Give the troop’s Girl Scout Cookie menu board a little extra pizazz by using stickers and other decorations.

Step 1: Step 1:

Print and cut out the template and clip art.

Step 2: Step 2:

Write your troop’s 2022 cookie season goal on the koala sign provided.

Step 3: Step 3:

®Write your troop’s Girl Scouts® Gift of Caring organization on the koala sign provided.

Step 4: Step 4:

Write “Girl Scout Cookie Menu” with a marker at the top of a 22in x 28in poster board.

Step 5: Step 5:

Tape or glue all of the template and clip art pieces to the poster board. Make sure to follow the order of the cookies on the sample shown above.

Activity idea TWO: Bling Your Booth (in-person)

Set Up:

The GIRL SCOUTS® name and mark, and all associated trademarks and logotypes, are owned by Girl Scouts of the USA. The LITTLE BROWNIE BAKERS® name and mark, and all associated trademarks are owned by Ferequity Inc.,

1. Set-up a supply table, with lots of fun booth decorations. 2. Set-up an empty booth/table, so that girls can start from scratch.

How To:

1. Girls will have 10 minutes to decorate their booth with their troop or in a small group. 2. After they are finished, have them practice with you as the customer. Then, ask them one of the provided Business Ethics questions.

Materials:

Business Ethics Questions

1. A customer has forgotten their wallet at your cookie booth. What do you do?

2. Your best friend’s mom forgot to get her change at a cookie booth. What do you do?

3. Your troop leader asks you to count the money at a booth sale. You see there is $5 extra dollars. What do you do?

4. You have your cookie money with you and you pass an ice cream shop. You don’t have any other money with you and would really like a snack. What do you do?

5. Your friend sees that you have your cookie money with you and asks to borrow some money. What do you do?

6. Another Girl Scout has already asked your favorite teacher to buy cookies. What do you do?

7. A customer comes back to your booth after buying 2 boxes of cookies. She already opened one and would like to return them because she didn’t like the taste. What should you do?

8. When you go to sell cookies with your friend, she forgot to bring her vest. What can you do to help?

9. You lost some of your cookie money before you gave it to your parents. What do you do?

10. A customer asks to take home his cookies today, but says that he will have to pay you back tomorrow. What do you think?
