Digital marketing is incredibly powerful. So powerful, that it has reduced our attention span and has us switching screens about 21 times an hour. Why? Because, we are buried in options for consuming information through our devices.
inkCREDIBILITY is my way of sharing the work I have been doing with creating brand magazines for authors, coaches, entrepreneurs, and speakers. Will your audience see you and hear you? Business owners are wondering out loud, what can be done to stand out for their authentic expertise in a crowded digital marketing space, a place where anyone with a Wi-Fi connection and a laptop can create a web page and be in your audience’s feed in minutes. I clicked on over to a Linkedin group to find out what people look for in a trusted business resource, by asking “What word resonates most with you: Expert, Authority or Credibility?” I spent 2 weeks following enthusiastic posts from business professionals who wanted to weigh in. That simple post also launched the idea for this very magazine!

Credibility Quiz Results: If you scored 1 to 15: You may be just getting started. Give yourself plenty of credit for taking a look at the factors you can now embrace to increase your Credibility. Since it is based on content, (brand) personality, and accessibility, it is not enough to simply produce an excellent product. Take inventory on what’s missing and fill in the gaps. If you scored 16 to 30: Your brand has Integrity. You have connected many of the credibility factors: you produce an excellent product/service, you deliver consistently, and/or you are easily accessible and open to learning more. Notice the areas where you are not at full capacity. Build with the fans you do have: interview them to learn what is working well, what they would like more of, and how you can better serve them.
