GINETTA INTRODUCTION Since 2005, we have taken the historic British marque from its nostalgic roots in the 60’s - 70’s and turned it into what is today, a formidable player on the World Motorsport scene. With over a decade of successful racing all over the world – winning Le Mans GT2 class in 2006 – and a solid background in engineering, I like to ‘do things right’. I believe few people are better placed to fully understand the purist love of driving and so I set the bar very high for Ginetta. All Ginetta models are designed, engineered and developed in-house. Since it’s takeover, the company has developed a range of award winning race cars including the G40, G50 and G55 models. Lawrence Tomlinson - LNT Group Chairman
N O E K ‘TO TA The Ginetta G55 GT3 is Ginetta Cars premier race car. The G55 offers GT teams and drivers a unique racing car, delivering a competitive edge with an elevated quality maintaining a valuable performance. In it’s inaugural season, the Ginetta G55 GT3 was hugely successful proving to be a multi winning GT car. The GT3 was one of the fastest cars in the British GT Championship, beating the likes of Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche. The cars stunning appearance is formed around the technical carbon fibre aerodynamics package. Through vigorous tests, simulations both on the CFD CAD package and in the wind tunnel, the aerodynamic performance is staggering. Ginetta firmly believe there will be no other GT3 car which will corner like the G55.
’ D L R O THE W
This season sees performance upgrades designed not just to improve the overall lap time but to offer assistance to the driver, improving consistency. The G55 retains it’s racing 4.35 litre Ginetta engine producing sufficient power all the way to 8,500rpm. Due to the nature of the 90° V8, the crank centre line sits 45mm lower than the previous V6 engine which massively aides the handling characteristics. Complimented by the lightness of the G55 at just 1100kg the car will very much secure its position as a pace setter. The Ginetta G55 GT3 car has National GT3 homologation and will be eligible for competition in various GT events.
