We are continually inspired by a dedication to living life in the mountains and making versatile gear designed to perform across all conditions. We are athlete-owned, so we make the gear we need. Strafe started because of an obsession with Highland Bowl. Hiking the bowl, ripping down to the lift and riding up to begin the lap again places unique demands on apparel in terms of breathability, weather protection, insulation, mobility and storage. We needed apparel that blended breathable, waterproof materials and constructions with snow-specific features and fits for moving efficiently and skiing hard all day. In 2009, we developed our first prototypes and in 2010, we made our first product offering: technical jackets, pants and one-pieces in a distinctly new, Strafe style. In 2011, we opened a showroom and office doors at the base of Aspen Highlands. This became the home of a young and adventurous ski culture in Aspen. With strong roots at Aspen Highlands, Strafe has grown into a brand known for skiing, riding and exploring the mountains as much as possible. The Strafe family continues to grow, and it draws inspiration from all disciplines while encouraging others to do the same in the spirit of living a wellrounded life in the mountains.
