The project required design solutions for urban planning. Therefore the connecting rode between two motorways and few multifunctional objects were designed to ease access to the medical centre for the population of Tokyo residing in the eastern and western residential areas. It was also taken into consideration that the eastern motorway is also a connecting line with the airport. The project design comprises few buildings, each having its own role and importance, thus requiring proper planning and special allocation on the site. Each of the facilities are 3-4 floor buildings, however there are two facilities which are 6 and 9 floors respectively. It helped emphasize somehow on the special composition of the entire project. Building “A” represents a circular three-story building. It surrounds the internal yard, which is connected with the motorway from the south, used for patients delivery by Emergency cars. All emergency units, examination rooms and labs are located in this buildings. The first floor of the “A” building connects directly with the first floor of the four-story “B” building, which houses surgery rooms with all auxiliary facilities, as required. Second floors of “A” and “B” Buildings are separated from each other by recreational area, used by the administration located in the “A” building. Intensive care unit is located on 2-4 floors of the “B” Building. A three story “C” building is an outpatient facility, providing outpatient examination services for the visitors. The building comprises a reception, wide hall, café, all types of examination facilities, including the conference room with the occupancy of 170 people. Building “D” is a three story building, which houses the reception for the visitors, wide foyer and all types of labs. Access to this building is provided independently, as well as from building “C”. “E” is a stand alone building which is meant for remedial exercise therapy, water pool, health recuperation. The building houses different size pools, gyms, massage offices, including 10 wards located on the top floor for the patients in need for repeated therapy. “F” is a stand alone building housing 63 hostel type wards for the post-surgery rehabilitation. This building is adjacent to the park, thus affording a perfect opportunity for the patients for recreation and recovery. Each of the mentioned buildings has a parking lot inter them. On the level of “-1” the space units all separate buildings, thus allowing easy movement for all automobiles in all directions. Such an architectural, special and planning solution of the entire composition meets its purpose and role. Giorgi Kurdiani August 5, 2011.
