01 The proposed project is located in Mozambique, one of the poorest countries in the world and with great needs due to the natural disasters caused by the Zambezi River. The primary objective of this project is to design a sustainable building appropriate for the climatic conditions in this part of Africa. Combining both modern and vernacular construction methods, the design shows how a low-tech, energy-saver and low-cost climatic concept can be used in areas of
extreme heat and floods. The main construction of the school is cast-in-place walls made of poured local clay mixed with concrete and aggregate. Double skin roofs and facades made from clay, metal, and local wood act to protect the interiors from damaging rains and winds. An extensive landscaping program aims to introduce trees and vegetation, which will in time reinforce the surrounding soil against desertification and flooding.

02 A social-urban design has the potential not only to provide important services and opportunities to disadvantaged areas, but also to act as a starting point for future developments. Caracoles is located in an area surrounded by a city, immersed in the urban context and acquiring the characteristic of marginalized cities over the years. Despite the complicated access and lack of facilities in the area, approximately 650 people live in this place. A study of the area and interviewing the residents raises the concern to integrate the neighborhood and

make it part of the functioning of the city. There are various strategies to create a link between the community and the urban context. The first phase is to create a corridor from north to south through the old course of the Portuguese river, a pedestrian route or following the cycle-track and which in turn contains a diverse program of attractive activities such as a recreational center, a sports area, a park with a passive area for children, a place for activities, outdoor theater or shows and small shops that are on the sides.

Heliotropism is the reaction of an organism in front of a source of light. Heliotropic plants make a movement pointing towards the sun, through the sky, from East to West. During the night they perform movements to lean. Using the concept as a starting point I start to investigate about the Center for Biotechnology Teaching and Research and Agrobiotechnology (C.E.I.B.A.) As a center of inteBiology and climatic conveniences at the site. Hence the concept of research on heliotropic plants and its integration in architecture.
The sun is the component with the highest hierarchy in the greenhouse design. Doing a solar study, I start to locate the spaces who need a direct light source and those who need an Indirect light source in the same way, the structure starts to work spatially

04 MIXED USE STUDENT RESIDENCE Ponce | Puer to Rico 2014
To create the design of a residence for students of art begins to use the site as a fundamental part in the distribution of spaces and location based on the context; begin commercial, cultural, public, semi-public spaces and private through the location process of the beginning program to orient the facades regarding the needs of the climate and at their time creating open spaces for the enjoyment of people. the orientation of the top of the building is directed to benefit of the resident, who can enjoy a great
view towards urban hull. also the structure has a varied program as a construction space, a study room and a place of exhibition that makes it easier for artists to express his art.

The house of Pedro A. Castro still maintains its greatness and to be able to appreciate it caused that it remains in its original state. In turn I create a space that responds to the needs of culture, art and history to awaken enthusiasm in people. The enclosure contains four rooms where they will be offering workshops, four rooms to provide hospederĂa to the lecturers and a large conference room for activities.
This, as a whole, obeys a direct relationship to the house where it maintains an address and distribution that is organized following a spatial sequence. art.
