Of course, if you want to venture out on the open road, we encourage you to participate in events anywhere! This guidebook uses the Girl Scout Pathways as designation for program categories, and programs within the Event Pathway are listed by the Girl Scouts of Colorado’s Program Initiatives.
Pathways
Pathways make it easy to participate in Girl Scouts. The Troop Pathway is the most established pathway in Girl Scouting and the Virtual Pathway is one of the newest. The Series Pathway offers ongoing programs, while the Event Pathway features onetime programs or events. The Travel Pathway inspires you to visit new places and the Camp Pathway lets you explore the great outdoors. You can stay in one pathway or move between them. Whichever direction you chose, you’ll discover who you are and what you stand for, connect with others, and take action on things that inspire you.

Meetings are girl-centered and girl-led under the direction of two or more adult volunteers. If you’re already in a troop, you’re already traveling down the Troop Pathway. Each troop must provide one adult who has completed Leader Training, and one adult who has completed Overnight Training.
Troop Rendezvous Camp Cost:
$70 per girl Includes program and materials; lodging; meals; (breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, brunch on Sunday); and four snacks (including s’mores and a travel snack). $25 per adult needed to meet safety ratio requirements, $70 per additional adult Includes lodging; meals; (breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, brunch on Sunday); and four snacks (including s’mores and a travel snack). $25 application processing fee for each person attending Rendezvous Camp. Any specialty programs offered at a camp location may carry an additional fee. Distinguish Yourself and Take Action to Make a Difference What will you do today? Girl Scouts do great things every day through community service. Girl Scouts of Colorado recognizes the dedication of girls and young women working to improve the lives of those around them, and the highest awards take community service to another level. It’s amazing what can be accomplished by girls with good ideas, support, and big hearts. The Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards honor girls who have met specific requirements for a project that improves the community through Take Action projects. All registered Girl Scouts are encouraged to work toward the highest award for their program level.
Girl Scout Bronze Award
The Girl Scout Bronze Award represents a Girl Scout Junior’s (4th and 5th grade) commitment to community and forms a foundation for future service. She develops her leadership and planning skills working within a troop or group.
Girl Scout Silver Award
The Girl Scout Silver Award is the second highest award a Cadette (6th, 7th, and 8th grade) can achieve in Girl Scouting. It recognizes girls who work in a group with community resources to solve a local problem.
Girl Scout Gold Award
