A letter from the CEO:
Dear Girl Scouts,
I am thrilled to celebrate the 2024 membership year as “Your Year of Fun” at Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. As we continue to navigate through unprecedented times, it’s more important than ever to find joy in small moments and create meaningful memories. As you plan your upcoming year, I encourage you to embrace fun in all its forms and make the most of your Girl Scout experience with all our council has to offer.
At Girl Scouts, we believe that fun is a vital part of personal growth and development. I hope you take the opportunity to explore new hobbies, get outside your comfort zone, and connect with others who share your interests. Whether you’re camping under the stars, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, or working together to give back to your community, every experience you have can be an opportunity to have fun and create lifelong memories.
So go out there and enjoy all the wonderful activities that Girl Scouts has to offer! I can’t wait to see all the amazing adventures you’ll embark on this year. As we celebrate “Your Year of Fun,” let’s remember to cherish the special joy that comes with being a Girl Scout.
Yours in scouting,

GET READY! The fun is just beginning.
Girl Scouts is a place for fun, friendship, and new adventures while making the world a better place. Girls look at our world and take action to change it for the better. They make friends, challenge themselves with new experiences, write their own stories, and develop the skills and confidence to say, “I know I can do this!”
If she can dream it, she can do it.
The only question is, what’s next?
Sleep under the stars?
Design her own app?
Plant a community garden?
As a Girl Scout there are hundreds of ways for your girl to discover something new or take their current passion to the next level. Make next year her year of fun.
But Don’t Take Our Word for It!
I love Girl Scouts because I am able to give back to my community in a way that not only helps to serve other girls but in a way that also helps serve my daughter. Through Girl Scouts, I’m able to teach the girls skills that will last them a lifetime.
I love Girl Scouts because I get to connect with other girls my age and other people in my community. It allows me to build lifelong friendships that I will remember for the rest of my life.
Next year, I want to see our girls get outdoors and be creative in their environment.
I’m renewing my girl because I believe in the power of sisterhood!
Girl Scouts is the one place where my daughter can develop her leadership skills, give back to the community, and have fun with the support of other future change makers. It’s been a joy to watch her grow into a confident young woman.
I like Girl Scouts because we have lots of adventures each year and we challenge one another to do amazing things in the world around us.

Girl Scouts is a Great Value
In today’s world, girls have so many extracurricular activity options. Your girl may not grow up to be a professional athlete or musician, but every parent wants their girl to have the confidence and skills to succeed in life. For a fraction of the cost of other extracurricular activities, your girl will learn valuable leadership and life skills that will set her on the path to success. With more than 100 years of experience developing girls’ potential, the value of Girl Scouts is unmatched. See for yourself what a valuable experience becoming a Girl Scout can be.
Did you know that Juliette Girl Scouts are registered girl members in grades K-12 who are not affiliated with a troop?
They participate in a way that fits their schedule, attending events and participating in activities that meet their needs and interests, with the support of an adult.
What can a Juliette do?
Everything Girl Scouts in a troop can do! As a Juliette, you have the same opportunities as girls in traditional troops and are able to pick and choose the way you want to participate in Girl Scouts, both in person and virtually.
We even have special events just for girls like you!

Being a Girl Scout isn’t just fun –it empowers girls to face the future head-on and make their biggest, brightest dreams a reality. Every dollar you donate stays right here in our community to directly help girls – like your Girl Scout – dream big and do bigger. Donations provide supplies for Girl Scout events, improvements to our three camps, and more. All things that make your girl’s Girl Scout experience unforgettable!
Why I donate...
If you make a donation to the Annual Fund as a troop and want to distribute the donation among the families who contributed, send an email with the names and donation amount for each family to annualfund@gsgatl.org.
I have been a Girl Scout for over 45 years, and the experience has meant so much to me. I donate because I want to give other girls the chance to explore the world, serve their community, and pursue their dreams.” Elise
B.“I began donating to Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta to deepen my commitment and support of this critical work. Older Girl Scout Opportunities
At Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. When girls reach the Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors levels, the organization adapts to meet their needs, focusing on girl-led programming and a one-of-a-kind leadership experience. If a girl can dream it, they can do it!
Girls grow courageous and strong through a wide variety of enriching and unique experiences, such as field trips, skill-building workshops, outdoor adventures, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardship programs, as well as the opportunity to earn the Girl Scout Silver and Gold Award. Learn more at OlderGirl.GirlScoutsATL.org
When I was younger, my camp counselors really looked out for me, supported me and helped me try new things and feel more confident. Now that I am older, I am looking forward to doing more leadership activities at camp, like CIT, and my Silver Award in my community so that I can help younger kids that need a little extra support. It’s okay to need a little extra help! Nora S.
Though she may be small, she is mighty!
