Independence Building Trip
Grand Canyon
• Travel Dates: June 8-16, 2023
• Any Girl Scout who sells 2000+ packages and is going into 6th grade in the fall of 2023 qualifies for this trip
• On this trip Girl Scouts will experience stopping in many states on your way to Grand Canyon National park, Arches National Park, Gateway National Park, National Historic sites, Four Corners Navajo Tribal Park, a stop at Lamberts Café, and more!
• This trip is chaperoned by council volunteers and staff
• Mandatory meeting: May 20, 2023, time TBD
Independence Plus Trip
GSUSA National Girl Scout Convention Orlando, Florida
• Travel Dates: July 17-24, 2023
• Any Girl Scout who sells 5000+ packages and is going into 9th grade in fall of 2023 qualifies for this trip
• On this trip Girl Scouts will experience Phenom, the Girl Scout national convention hall and activities, spend time at both Universal Orlando and Disney World parks, do special behind the scenes activities at Disney World, and dine with some of Disney’s favorite characters
• Mandatory meeting dates: June 24, 2023, time TBD
• Transportation and lodging: sleeper bus and hotel

In order to opt-in for this reward structure, you will need to opt-out of the regular reward structure. As you earn; Destination credits, council staff will keep account of the money earned and send it straight to the council hosting the trip. You DO NOT need to be approved for a trip to earn this reward – you may hold money from year to year until you have been accepted for a GSUSA Destinations Trip. You will FORFEIT this reward if you opt not to attend or are not accepted for a Destinations Trip. For every 500 packages you sell, you will earn a $400 council credit for Destinations Trips.
