Sarah Beth is a 9th grader at Perkiomen School where she is a member of the Model United Nations and Science Olympiad club. Sarah Beth is most proud of the connections she has made through her Girl Scout career and the support that she will have for life in those people through the networking opportunities Girl Scouts has provided. Sarah Beth has participated in Take The Lead since she was a Brownie in many roles with her favorite being Raffle Rover and now her dream coming true with the Emcee role. After high school, she would love to study English with the long-term goal of working in the field of journalism.

Julia R. Masterman High School

10th Grade

Marisa is a 10th grader at Julia R. Masterman High School where she is a member of the student government, 10th grade events committee, HOLA (Hispanic or Latina Association), and the Deans Assistant. She is on the chess team, and she also attended the 2022 All Girls National Chess Championship in Chicago. Marisa is most proud of earning her Silver Award which she started an all-girls chess club at her school called Masterman Queens. Playing the flute is very important to Marisa, as is being a member of her school’s chamber orchestra, pit orchestra, jazz band, and she is also 4th chair in the Philadelphia All City Concert Band. This is her third year participating in Take the Lead taking to the stage after supporting our social media, networking, and public relations roles. After high school, Marisa hopes to attend a university with an urban campus.
