Is your camper ready to eat, sleep, and live the camp life for multiple days? Sleepaway camps (formerly known as resident camps) run from Sunday at 6:30 p.m. to Thursday at 6 p.m., with check in and pick up within 30 minutes before or after.
Campers will participate in activities that will help them build life and outdoor skills depending on their age, including swimming, boating, target sports or high adventure. They will also complete crafts, games, and activities related to that session’s theme and badgework.
Target Sports Progression
All 3 council-owned camp properties offer a variety of target sports, progressing from sling shots to archery with recurve or compound bows. At Four Winds, campers can experience the 3D archery trail. Both Starwoods and Four Winds offer hatchet throwing. At Starwoods, campers can learn about gun safety from specially trained facilitators and aim for the bulls-eye with BB guns or rifles.

High Adventure Progression
Starwoods’ Adventure Course is the ultimate camp activity! The progression begins with team building games, “low ropes” challenge course activities, and learning the basics of climbing at the horizontal, traversing wall. At the Adventure Course, campers learn to climb or rappel the 45-foot tower wall and older campers experience the thrill of ziplining 900 feet across Wattles Lake.
