Girls attend summer camp along with an adult and spend the night (or two) at one of our camp locations. This can be with their mother, father, guardian, grandparent, aunt, uncle—any adult they have an important relationship with. These camps give families the opportunity to explore all that summer camp has to offer while enjoying quality time together. All meals are included and camp staff lead all activities.
OVERNIGHT/SLEEP-AWAY CAMP
Girls attend summer camp with their troop, troop leader, and troop volunteers. Our camp staff lead the activities and coordinate meals—no training or experience is needed. Troop camp is an opportunity to bond, work together, and support one another as girls build campfires, go boating, practice archery, hike, do arts and crafts, and more.

DEP O SI T A $25 nonrefundable deposit is required for Resident and Family Camp registration. If you would like to register a girl who isn’t in your household for resident or family camp, please call our office at 800-845-0787 since this option is not available online. You will be required to pay the deposit, but instructions on completing payment will be sent to the parent/guardian of the girl registered. Troop Camp registration fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.
REGIS T ERING F OR MULT IPL E CA MP T Y PE S If you hope to register for both a 4-day Resident Camp and a Family Camp (for example) you'll have to register on separate days (the 4-day Resident Camp on Feb. 19 and Family Camp on Feb. 21). Rolling registration is to ensure that our Customer Care staff are better able to serve you. When registrations come in on different days, we can focus our attention on one camp at a time to better meet your Girl Scouts’ needs and make it the best camp experience ever!
E A RLY RISER PRICING Resident and Family Camps are available at an Early Riser price from the day that registration opens (February 19–21) through the end of February. Registrants will pay the full price of camp starting on March 1. The Early Riser price is not transferable; if a registrant transfers to a different camp session or date after February 29, they will need to pay the full price of the new camp session and will not be able to transfer the price. Please note: this discount is not available to non-members.
F IN A NCI A L AS SIS TA NCE Girl Scout Camp is open to all Girl Scouts, regardless of family income. We make funds available to support girls by providing supplemental resources beyond a family’s ability to pay. Families who would like to request financial assistance for Resident, Family, and/or Day Camps should register online, pay a $25 non-refundable deposit fee, and submit a financial assistance application online at GirlScoutsRV.org/Financial-Assistance. Girl Scouts River Valleys will then notify families of the amount that will be covered. Any remaining balance that is not covered by financial assistance is due 30 days prior to the camp session. For Troop Camps, participants will need to register by phone at 800-845-0787 with a $25 deposit as this option is not available online. FIND THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE APPLICATION ONLINE AT GirlScoutsRV.org/Financial-Assistance.

T R A NSF ER S & CA NCEL L AT ION P OL ICY Registrants can cancel or transfer to another camp session up to 30 days before their camp session. To transfer or cancel your camp session and receive a refund (minus the $25 nonrefundable deposit), we must receive written or verbal notice at least 30 days prior to the start of your camp session. Registrants must be paid in full 30 days prior to camp. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received less than 30 days prior to a camp session. Exceptions may be considered for emergency situations only. For more details, visit gsrv.gs/camp-cancellation-policy.
COOK IE CREDI T S & COUP ONS Cookie sellers can use Cookie Credits or camp coupons to help pay for camp. Girls who sell 825+ cookie packages are eligible for the Half-Off Camp Coupon (max. value of $250). Girls who sell 1,500+ packages of cookies are eligible for the Free Camp Coupon (max. value of $500). Girls who earn both the Half-Off and Free Camp Coupons can apply both to the same session. Credits and coupons will be applied to the original camp session cost. TO USE: Camp sessions can fill up quickly, so reserve your spot with a deposit and pay off your balance after the cookie sale with credits and coupons.
CONF IRM AT ION & F IN A L PAY MEN T Final payment for Resident and Family Camp is due 30 days before your camp session begins. Registrations submitted within 30 days of a session require full payment at that time. Troop camp payment is due at time of registration. Final payment can be completed online or over the phone with a credit card. If you are paying by check, Cookie Credits, Fall FUNds, Juliette Program Credits, any coupons, or a combination thereof, please submit your completed paper forms and payment by mail to: Girl Scouts River Valleys 400 Robert Street South Saint Paul, MN 55107
ACCE S SIBIL I T Y Girls of all abilities—including those with disabilities and health concerns—are welcome and encouraged to register. Prior to registering, we recommend you contact us so we can make sure we are able to provide accommodations and adequate support for your girl’s camp experience. Our staff can also help you choose the sessions that are best fit for your girl.
I N FO
CEL L PHONE S & PER S ON A L EL EC T R ONIC S
We are able to provide gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian, and peanut/tree nut-free meals and snacks upon request. Requests must be placed at least one month before camp using the online form at Camp.GirlScoutsRV.org/contact. We do our best to limit cross-contamination, but as we do not have separate facilities, we cannot guarantee zero risk of cross-contamination. Our camps are also not peanut-free environments and we cannot accommodate airborne allergies. If you have other dietary needs, please contact us to review menus and in many cases, we can accommodate you sending special dietary foods/meals that can be warmed via microwave or oven while at camp.
In order to experience the full benefits of camp, campers are not permitted to have cell phones or devices that keep them plugged in and connected to their responsibilities at home. We believe, and research supports, that time away from screens and free from expectation of connection helps reduce anxiety and improve social skills.
CI T A PPL ICAT IONS All girls, regardless of number of previous years as a counselorin-training (CIT), will need to complete our brand-new online CIT application. Once you have filled out and submitted your application, it will be reviewed by a Girl Scouts River Valleys Camp Director. You will receive an email with your application status within two weeks of submission. If accepted, Girl Scouts River Valleys will register you in early-mid March and you will receive a session confirmation via email. No need to register for these sessions in February. APPLY ONLINE AT Camp.GirlScoutsRV.org/Leadership-Sessions.
BUDDY REQUE S T S If your girl and her friend are hoping to be bunkmates, please submit a buddy request at Camp.GirlScoutsRV.org/contactus or enter the buddy’s name in the “buddy request” field when completing registration online. In order to make buddy arrangements, both girls must be registered to attend the same session and request one another as buddies. We recommend limiting buddy requests to one girl since girls tend to have the most fun when they can meet new friends.
L O S T A ND F OUND Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings, money, or any items left at camp. Lost-and-found items will be kept at camp for one month. Any items not claimed by that time will be donated. Please contact the Camp Director if items are forgotten at camp.
E V ERY GIRL IN A T EN T ICON
AD D ITI O NAL
DIE TA RY RE S T RIC T IONS & A L L ER GIE S
Girls will connect with nature, each other—and most importantly— their inner selves as they learn new skills and tackle new challenges with the caring support of a counselor in a safe and nurturing environment. To help girls build this connection we ask that they do not have their phones (or another internetconnected device) with them while at camp. We know in today’s world parents depend on being in contact with their children instantly via smart phones. Sometimes it’s difficult to remember a time when knowing what children were doing minute-to-minute was not a guarantee. But we’re here to remind you that our camp staff is trained and has girl safety as their top priority. If campers do bring electronic items to camp, the Camp Director will place it in a ziplock bag with their name on it, keep it safe, and return it at the end of their camp stay. In addition, this means that you will not receive photos, texts, or phone calls from your girl. Rest assured that we are providing them with the best camp experience and will help them adjust to their time away from home.
W E AT HER Campers learn weather emergency information and will practice drills. In the case of an actual weather emergency, we will put the safety of our girls first, which means we won’t be answering phone calls or emails during that time. We will send out updates once normal activity has resumed.
