Scunthorpe Central Park Pavilion By S&P Architects
Scunthorpe Central Park Pavilion is designed by S&P Architects and it is located in Scunthorpe, England. The client North Lincolnshire Council and Yorkshire Forward wanted for this project to include a kiosk and disable WC / baby change as a part of the regeneration of Central Park. Its exterior design complements the sweeping forms of the surrounding children’s play area and amphitheatre. The sculptural profile is animated by the tectonic screen whose form and dynamics were set using Rhino+Grasshopper. The geometry of the screen is defined by two sine curves assigned to the fin geometry, one at a low frequency and the other at a high frequency. Durable and vandal proof, the pavilion is covered with autumnal tones and it waits with the doors opened.
