ITAIPU BEACH
The Itaipu beach in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, still has its environmental and historical features which should be preserved. The area is very popular and still retains its bucolic character with a stunning scenery. The increase in tourism, especially over summer days, and the arise of irregular buildings is destroying the area, which attempts to preserve the broad ecosystem (which involves the sea, the lagoon and dune, which holds remnants of salt marsh and mangrove vegetation, Sambaqui and the Atlantic Forest).

PROPOSED MATERIALS
This work is based on recovering the beach side of Itaipu and on the reconquest of its local identity, keeping its rusticity, landscape and preserving its natural and historic environments. The proposal included fifteen different interventions based on the needs of each ecosystem with the aim of promoting greater interaction between areas, in order to use sustainably, preserve and enhance the quality of an area of approximately 4.5 hectares (43.143m²) .

The project was conceived thinking about local colours. From pictures was defined a colour shade which was used to develop the masterplan and the urban furniture. The idea here is to merge the natural and the built, in a landscape unit representative of the ecosystems.

URBANISM In collaboration with the architect and landscaper Monica Khalil, we developed an urban regeneration project for the centre of Niteroi, principal metropolitan city where 250k passages across the Baia de Guanabara every day by ferry or bridge. The area is composed for a Bus and ferry terminal station surrounded by residential, commercial, touristic and abandoned areas. The construction of an iconic building designed by Oscar Niemeye rised questions about the landscape interference and the changes that this build could bring for the area. The proposal of this project is to create a new multi-terminal station including: bus, ferry and vlt transports concentrated in a unit; integrating the new urban design with the potential constructive sites and to attract investments, urban-life and developments for this important linked area
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE LAND SRL was my Europe Landscape Masterclass. Here I had the opportunity to work in multiple projects from the North to the South of Italy, broading my knowledge in vegetation zones and shaping my creativity in order to develop projects for territorial planning, outdoor spaces, corporate landscapes, parks, waterscapes, recovered brownfield sites and abandoned areas in collaboration with multi-disciplinary professionals.

CO FOUNDER In 2014 I decided to start my own company which develops 2D and 3D projects for Brand and Music Events. The objective is to reproduce trough my project skills and knowledge the closer reality of the client idea, making clear for producers, sponsors and consumers what the event will looks like. During the past 5 year I have managed to work with the most important Event Producer Companies in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, creating and developing seasonal music festivals for over 25,000 people

INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP July 2012, December 2012 LAND SRL, Italy As an international landscape architecture firm in Milan with multidisciplinary professionals as landscape architects, agronomists, urban planners and architects, LAND develops projects from territorial planning to open space design. The holistic approach combines research and innovation to offer solutions for today’s social and environmental challenges. Followed by the senior architects, I collaborated in multiple landscape projects, researching references, creating plans, designs and drawings. After my successful collaboration at LAND, I was invited to be their International sales representative in Brazil, participating in meetings and events that may be of the company interests, until 2015. INTERNSHIP July 2011, January 2012 Parks and Gardens Foundation, Rio de Janeiro Council, Brazil This foundation aims to ensure the participation of society - whether as a private or public - in the process of environmental management of the city; besides being a proper mechanism capable of allowing an economy in the public budget destined to the maintenance and conservation of the public green areas. My work was to start, follow up and conclude new and existing contracts based on periodic visits and annual reports, yet surpassing the annual quota.
