I’m a 27 years old architect, graduated at Politecnico di Milano with a major in Technological and Environmental design. I’m particularly interested in eco-sustainable architecture and in all the aspects related to the rapresentation of the project, from preliminaries sketches to technological details. My biggest passions, beyond architecture and environmental issues, are travelling and learning foreign languages.

A1 RI-FORMARE MILANO: A NEW IDENTITY for Piazza Santa Maria del Suffragio, Milano Academic project
The intervention area is one of the chosen areas for the project Riformare Milano, iniatiative related to abandoned area. The request involved choosing a theme for the project and its development without the imposition of a function. The theme we chose was IDENTITY. We use the word identity for something well defined and legible for its specific features. This theme is connected to the PERCEPTION of space. We decided to create a promenade architectural at a higher level from the ground, which allows people to have new perception of the square and of the contest in which it takes place.
A2 ARCHEOLOGICAL MUSEUM Via Brisa, Milano Academic project
The project for the roman ruins of via Brisa consists in a slabe wich covers the ruins, and in the creation of new spaces like laboratories, a museum, an archive, a ticket office and a food court. We decided to develop the theme of the urban void by creating two squares with the same dimensions, but different composition. The first void was “filled” with new spaces like the museum, the laboratories and the archive. The second one was thought like a court, a Milan’s tipical tipology, that receives the visitors. The longitudinal block is framed on the outside by pilars which delimit a portico. The idea is to create a permeable space, also defined by the glass which encloses the

The educational center is composed by six blocks including dormitories for the children, dining room, spaces for exhibitions, rooms for the employers and parking lots. The complex takes place on the Pyrenees, and is thought like a route through the nature developed on different levels and opened toward the landscape. It refers to the archetipical form of the mountain’s houses, but it’s built in concrete and realized with modern construction techniques.
A4 WELCOME CENTER FOR VISITORS Angera, Italy Academic project
The visitors’ center takes place on top of an artificial embankment near lake Maggiore. The project involves the construction of a new edge of the embankment, with the creation of a “piazza-garden” overlooking the lake. There are four pavillions: info point, restaurant, reading room, museum with a glass façade. The new embankment is composed by parallel strips, bounded by corten steel slabs.

S1 RETIREMENT HOME Lentate sul Seveso, Italy Academic project
The project involves the redevelopment of an industrial area, where there is currently a disused fabric factory. The new complex includes residences, a senior center, municipal offices, a museum and a leisure center. The senior center takes place in the northeastern part of the area and involves the recovery of an existing part of the building (the one facing the street) and its integration. The project is developed on three levels and adapts to the abutments of the pre-existing buildings.

Particular attention was paid to the issue of environmental sustainability, the use of eco-friendly materials and the integration of the new structure with the existing one, in X-lam and concrete.

FARMHOUSE RENOVATION Cernusco sul Naviglio, Italy Academic project
The project involves the redevelopment of a farmhouse situated in the eastern rural area of Milan, starting from the design of the surrounding landscape up to the definition of the construction details. New and existing rows of threes, greenhouses, fields, roads and ancient tracks enhance the landscape vertically. This arrangement has been taken in the design of the farm itself: an existing concrete building will be partially emptied and completed with new wooden structures that can accommodate animal husbandry and other functions. Paths, buildings and green define the vertical strips that connect the new building to the existing one. A wooden portico complete de existing facade.

L1 FARMHOUSE RENOVATION Cernusco sul Naviglio, Italy Academic project
The project involves the redevelopment of a farmhouse situated in the eastern rural area of Milan, starting from the design of the surrounding landscape up to the definition of the construction details. New and existing rows of threes, greenhouses, fields, roads and ancient tracks enhance the landscape vertically. The different types of cultures have been chosen and arranged with the aim of reducing the trivialization of the landscape, which will change aspect and colors according following the seasons. Different cultures will alternate during the year and will follow a four-year rotation.

Soft mobility and design of open spaces along the canal Vacchelli: proposal of the redevelopment of abandoned rural areas. The thesis project deals with the problem of abandoned buildings in rural areas. This phenomenon, usually related to the urban dimension and to large abandoned complex, extends far beyond the limits of the city, often involving buildings of modest dimensions considered anonymous and not worthy of interest. The project propose a slight regeneration through minimal interventions on open spaces that might serve as starting point for a renewal of the abandoned
buildings, as a lever to activate a more complex transformation. Sixteen abandoned areas located along the Vacchelli, irrigation canal that cuts horizontally the countryside for 35 km, have been identified. The canal represents a synthesis of some critical elements such as the abandonment, the insertion in the agricultural landscape, the bicycle and pedestrian use. It thus represents an opportunity to create a linear regeneration: the design of the “void� becomes an opportunity to propose a route based on the dimension of experience. The new cycle path intercepts and unites abandoned and forgotten areas disclosing what is now invisible. The aim is to rebuild a broken connection, to rediscover the landscape and the ordinary beauty.
