Varanda e salas

SAO PAULO

Concept The project focuses on the living area of the flat, as indicated in the notice of competition, integrating the veranda with dining area but keeping alive its inside-outside character through the presence of the green. In the living zone has returned a minimalist style, young and fresh, with neutral colors enlivened with green hues that recall the colors of the vegetation in the veranda. The choice of a wall coated in wood in the home theater area, aims to make the space warm and cosy. The living room holds several features that have been retained: dining, relax, home theater and home office. In the project, we tried not to upset an already very well designed flat and it kept in excellent condition, retaining and recalling several existing furniture as requested by the client but put next to them some unique objects of international design.

Regarding the colour of the walls we suggest Farrow&Ball paint in Blue Gray (n.18) for the entrance, and Cornforth white (n.228) for all the other walls. For the veranda’s floor you could use polished tiles like Tecnolito by Caesar Ceramic in charcoal colour (or carbon) which match nicely with the others coating.

In the large veranda you will find three areas: BBQ, dining and relaxing. In front of the barbecue area, which was maintained with its brick coating, was designed a peninsula that will be a useful support surface for food preparation and at the same time an area where talking with friends while cooking. The external dining area is characterized by a large dark wood table, a bench and some green chairs that accentuate the natural style of the veranda. On the bottom is placed a small but comfortable sofa in vintage style, next to three upholstered pouf and a small table and in natural wood, creating a perfect reading area in the brightest part of the flat. The veranda is complete with two sliding wooden panels (which can also scroll in front of the two windows) to which you can attach the vessels and create a vegetal wall.

The dining area, in which were kept all the furniture, it's enlivened by a mural decoration made by triangular portions in green hues and a design pendant lamp which is accompanied by a comfortable furniture buffet on wood and white useful for resting your dishes. The two sofas, previously facing in the same direction, were placed back to back separated by a white console, creating two distinct space: the relax area and the home theater area. The coatings of the two sofas, of the armchairs and puff may be inspired by the nuances of the upholstered chairs in the dining area,in white and greige hues. On all windows have been placed the blackout roller blinds that, in addition to maintaining a modern and young, give the possibility to completely darken the room and make best use of the projector. All existing floors were left as in the pre-existence; only in the balcony was placed a dark floor, in the same shade of the entrance. In the home office area have been placed more libraries as required by the client while maintaining a modern and young style. In the bathroom were shooting the geometric forms of the dining zone with a hexagonal and random coating that illuminates and gives character to the small environment; two lamps in concrete by the Italian designare installed to illuminate the new cubic sink.
